Nissan India had recently launched its sedan Nissan Sunny at a competitive price range of Rs 5.7-Rs 7.8 lakhs. The Nissan Sunny has been manufactured based on the Nissan Micra's V-platform at Oragadam plant in Chennai. With the competitive price tag, the petrol-driven Nissan Sunny stands to be a potential competitor of Maruti Swift Dzire, Tata Indigo Manza and Toyota Etios in the sedan segment. The Japanese auto major is pinning high hopes with the launch of the sedan and anticipates at least three-fold growth in the segment during 2011.
